7-8 SEPT: OPEN WEEKEND SHOWCASE

Join us for a central American menu from El Salvador, showcasing one of the most abundant months for vegetables locally.

Earlier in the year our trainees learned from star-peer mentor and countryfile Young Countryside champion Jack Scott what vegetables to plant out ready for our September Harvest festival. We learned that what grows together, goes together, and how to use the native American planting system “three sisters”.

The sisters/companion plants you will enjoy this weekend are corn, beans and squashes together at The Perfect Place To Grow, between 12-4pm on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September. This month’s theme is Harvest Festival, which will showcase trainees cooking with veg at its peak.

These events usually happen every second weekend (we were too eager this month, and want you to come the first weekend!). No booking required, just turn up. Follow The Perfect Place to Grow on Instagram for updates on future events, or sign up to our newsletter below.
