TRACEY EMIN WHITE CUBE OPENING

The Perfect Place to Grow was honoured to cater for the opening of Tracey Emin’s exhibition, I Followed You to the End at the White Cube Gallery, London, on Tuesday 17 September 2024.

The renowned British artist is the patron of The Perfect Place to Grow. After tasting Naveed, Salman and Zain’s cooking at an Open Weekend Showcase, Tracey Emin requested that they cater for her prestigious private event alongside The Cellar Society events team.

It’s fitting that the exhibition traces the artist’s journey through loss. Little over a year ago, Naveed, Salman and Zain had just arrived in the UK and were seeking asylum. To now be sharing their food and culture at this A-list event, which brought together the most influential people in British arts and culture, is testament to their dedication and hard work. The event was a celebration of what can be found when we work together; these young men put themselves out there and will continue to do great things. Everyone at The Perfect Place to Grow is proud to know them and share these achievements during our first year running the programme.

Starters included Chana Chaat, with chutneys and raita, followed by chicken Karahi curry, Chana Dal, Aloo Palak, and rice. With a Kheer rose and almond rice pudding to finish.
